Coby Karl did enough to earn a call-up to the Denver Nuggets from the NBA Development League last season and then played well for the team's entry in the Vegas Summer League, but that apparently wasn't enough to keep a job with the Nuggets
The NBA Summer League is littered with talented players trying to find their way onto an NBA roster. SB Nation will profile several of these players throughout the week. Next up: Coby Karl of the Denver Nuggets.
The Denver Nuggets have signed Coby Karl, along with the already known Brian Butch, according to a D-League press release. While playing for the Idaho Stampede, Karl averaged 19.3 points, six rebounds and 4.9 assists along with contributing 1.4 steals in a backcourt that also included former NBA guards Andre Barrett and Donell Taylor.
The SB Nation Basketball Network is proud to join with the NBA to spread the word about the Hoops for St. Jude Week. This is a great program for a great cause and we encourage you to participate.
