It couldn't get over fast enough. In as ugly a loss as there has been this season, the Nets got blown out by the Pistons, Although the final score was 109-92, it wasn't that close. The Nets were down 30 in the third, 27 in the fourth, the biggest margin of the season. It was also the Nets' fifth straight loss.

The Nets lost their fourth straight game on Wednesday at the Prudential Center, burying themselves in an 18-point hole against the Pistons that they couldn't quite climb out of. The Nets shot just 42 percent from the field, while allowing the Pistons to shoot 53 percent. Greg Monroe led six Pistons in double-figures with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

History should tell them they're not going to get much better.

He's a natural perimeter scorer with a sweet stroke and a very consistent shot; when he gets going he can carry his team from outside. Has a long reach, helping him shoot over defenders and do well as a rebounder. Superb on free throws.

Flaws

When he's not scoring from the outside he sometimes disappears offensively. Needs to add more balance to his overall game, especially as a passer, penetrator, and defender.

Career Potential

Excellent perimeter scoring specialist.
