Nets Call Up Armor's Jerry Smith

With a roster opening created by the 2-for-1 Gerald Wallace trade, the Nets have called up D-League Player of the Month Jerry Smith from Springfield. Smith, a 6'2" combo guard out of Louisville, has been generally regarded as the league's top prospect since Gerald Green was called up by the Nets from the L.A. Defenders.

Nets Sign Keith Bogans

The Nets announced Wednesday morning that they have signed guard Keith Bogans and waived Larry Owens. Bogans was waived by the Bulls in December. He started all 82 games for them last season, averaging 4.4 points on 40 percent shooting. He's 31 years old with eight years of experience in the league.
