The Korean Basketball League's import player draft took place Thursday night in the Monte Carlo Hotel's ballroom down in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada following two and a half days of tryouts - and I have the results.

I got together with the D-League blogosphere awhile back to discuss the best in the D-League from the regular season.
In the end, though, we decided to give out the same awards that the D-League coaches vote on: Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, Impact Player of the Year and Coach of the Year - as well as our own All-D-League teams.

The playoffs are here, but there are still a lot of questions to be answered: Will anybody else get called up? Who will be assigned to help? Who's hot? Who's not? How monumental was the collapse of the Maine Red Claws leading to them missing the playoffs? Do the D-League playoffs really matter since this league is called the Development League, not the Winning League? Speaking of, who is going to win?

Typically, I do my best to shield myself from ever being wrong. This morning, though, I'm opening myself up to that very notion thanks to the suggestion from Basketballogy for me to break down the D-League playoffs. I was going to consult Jon L to come up with an RU consensus, but figured I'd go off the cuff instead - first instincts are always right, right?

Stat of the game: Romel Beck had 17 points in the first quarter. He finished with 23 after inexplicably being bench for nearly the entire second quarter. Still, his team won, so it didn't really matter.
