Peace Players International is a charity whose aim is using sport to bring together children from different ethnic and religious groups in areas of conflict. Irina Pavlova sits on the group's board of directors. She spoke to Huff Post about the work.

Popeye Jones and Doug Overton were teammates in Denver and now assistant coaches together in Brooklyn. They have one other thing in common: rising star sons, Seth Jones in pro hockey and Miles Overton in college ball.

As they sit day after day, night after night, worrying about their charges on the court, assistant coaches Popeye Jones and Doug Overton must be comforted by the success their 16-year-old sons are having on the court (Overton) and surprisingly, on the ice (Jones).

Beyond the well-publicized additions to the coaching and scouting staffs, the Nets have quietly been upgrading other parts of the basketball operations staff, putting meat on the bones left by Bruce Ratner.
