(Sports Network) - LeBron James and the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers haven't started the season the way they had envisioned and are still searching for their first win of the campaign. They hope to achieve success tonight, when they pay a visit to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.

The Cavaliers, who lost to Orlando in the Eastern Conference Finals last season despite owning the league's best record, were dropped by Boston in the season opener on Tuesday and suffered a 101-91 setback in Toronto the next night. James notched his 25th career triple-double with 23 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds for Cleveland, which didn't lose consecutive games last season until February.

"We have to do a better job offensively," Cavs head coach Mike Brown said. "Defensively we have to be better. There has to be a better effort."

Mo Williams scored 16 points and O'Neal recorded 12 and seven boards in a losing cause. Cleveland shot just 34.9 percent from the floor. Cavaliers guard Delonte West is listed as doubtful for Friday for personal reasons. West has been dealing with mood issues and legal problems, and has yet to play this season.

Minnesota is riding a wave of emotion after opening the Kurt Rambis era with a win over New Jersey at the buzzer on Wednesday. Damien Wilkins buried a shot at the buzzer to help the 'Wolves overcome a 16-point deficit. Wilkins finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Rookie Jonny Flynn led the team in scoring in his first game with 18 points, including 13 in the decisive fourth quarter, for the Timberwolves, who closed the game on a 24-6 run in the final 6:50 to win the game. Ryan Gomes was the only other player in double-figures with 10 points in the win.

"We're not the biggest team, we're not the strongest team," said Flynn. "But we're a scrappy team. In that fourth quarter we really got after it, got into a frantic style of play, which really favored us."

Cleveland took both meetings with Minnesota in 2008-09 and has won seven straight and 10 of the last 16 meetings in this series. The Cavaliers have won their last four trips to the Target Center.
