Recap: Golden State vs. LA Clippers

Sports Network | November 7, 2009

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Baron Davis and Eric Gordon scored 25 points each to lead the Los Angeles Clippers in a 118-90 rout of the Warriors at ORACLE Arena, snapping a streak of seven straight losses at Golden State.

Chris Kaman added 22 points in 28 minutes for the Clippers, who won their second straight game following four consecutive losses to begin the season. Sebastian Telfair and DeAndre Jordan ended with 13 points apiece.

"We just came out and stuck with our game plan," Davis said. "We knew that this team has the ability to get up and down on anyone, and we knew we had to have good shots."

Anthony Morrow tallied 18 points for the Warriors, who have dropped three of four to start the season. Stephen Jackson added 17 points and Monta Ellis 14 with six assists. Kelenna Azubuike gave 13 points and seven rebounds in defeat. Anthony Randolph notched 13 points and 14 boards.

"I am embarrassed about this game," Warriors head coach Don Nelson said. "It was just a bad performance all around early and late."

The Clippers led 30-19 after the first quarter and increased that lead to 57-45 at the break.

Three consecutive baskets from Kaman to begin the third quarter opened a 63-45 lead for Los Angeles.

Later in the frame, Randolph's layup closed it to nine points. However, the Clippers closed the third on a 27-7 run to assume a 91-61 lead headed to the final 12 minutes of play.

The Clippers' lead was never seriously threatened in the final frame.

Telfair had six assists...Golden State shot 34.5 percent from the field, whereas LA hit at a 57.9 percent clip.
