Hornets keep Wright through 2010-11 season

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets announced on Monday they have exercised the 2010-11 club option on forward Julian Wright.

Wright, the 13th overall selection in the 2007 NBA Draft out of Kansas, posted averages of 4.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 14.3 minutes over 54 regular- season contests, including 19 starts last season.

Entering his third professional campaign, the 6-foot-8 forward is averaging 4.1 points to go along with 2.4 rebounds in 111 career games, with 20 of them being starts.

He has also seen action in 15 playoff games over the last two years and averaged 3.7 points and 1.6 boards per contest.
