Recap: San Antonio vs. Sacramento

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Tony Parker had 24 points and seven assists to lead the San Antonio Spurs in a 113-94 blowout of the Sacramento Kings at AT&T Center.

Richard Jefferson scored 21 points and George Hill 15 with five rebounds for San Antonio, which suffered a 92-85 loss at Chicago on Thursday following a season-opening win against New Orleans. Tim Duncan had only seven points on 3- of-5 shooting, but brought down 10 boards.

Manu Ginobili added 13 points and made a key non-game play when a bat disrupted play by flying around. Ginobili managed to get it in his sights and grab it out of the air with his left hand, restoring order.

Kevin Martin poured in 26 points and Spencer Hawes scored 22 and secured 10 rebounds for Sacramento, which started its season on a three-game road trip -- each resulting in a loss. New head coach Paul Westphal is also still without a win.

"We got outworked by them on every category that mattered, defensively, and that's what I was looking at," Westphal said.

Ginobili's layup to close the first quarter had the Spurs up 34-27 and a 16-4 run that spanned the latter half of the second quarter gave the hosts a commanding 61-43 lead. Jefferson closed the surge with a three-ball and a dunk just before halftime with San Antonio ahead 61-45.

The Spurs picked up right where they left off in the third. Jefferson's three- point play right out of the gate was answered by a Martin three-pointer but Parker buried a jumper and Michael Finley sank a three-ball for a 21-point advantage.

Consecutive makes by Tyreke Evans had the Kings back to a more respectable 14- point deficit at about the seven-minute mark but the Spurs still led by 21, 96-75, after three quarters.

San Antonio broke the century mark just a minute into the fourth on a three- pointer from Hill and rattled off the first seven points of the frame to lead by 28. The hosts cruised to an easy win from there.

"It was good to see the group continue to execute defensively in the fourth quarter," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said. "That was the best part of the game, for me, besides Manu's catch."

San Antonio won all three matchups with Sacramento last season and has won six in a row and 21 of the past 26 contests in this series. The Kings are winless in the last six games at San Antonio...The Spurs shot 58.1 percent from the floor and nailed half of its 16 three-point attempts...The Kings were successful on only 6-of-17 shots from beyond the arc and finished the game 44.6 percent from the field.
