Wisconsin Vs. Michigan State: Last-Minute Spartans Spurt Sends It To Overtime

With two minutes left to play, Michigan State clamped down and started playing full court defense. They were able to force WIsconsin to turn it over. It was their first turnover in 14 minutes, and as a result, Korie Lucious scored a fast-break layup to bring the Spartans to within three. Michigan State forced another huge turnover at their end of the court and Lucious hit a long three with :47.2 seconds left to tie the game. That basket capped a 9-0 run by the Spartans.

Wisconsin's final possession ended in a shot clock violation thanks to the most impressive defensive showing of the game by the Spartans. The Badgers were forced to take a three with no time left and it didn't even graze the rim. On the other end, the Badgers had their own defensive showing, and Keaton Nankivil blocked a layup from behind to force the game into overtime.

Over the past year, the Badgers have gone 34-1 when leading or tied with 4 minutes left to play. They led tonight.
