Sun Belt Authorizes Members To Spend Money They Don't Have

Stay connected with SB Nation

That new NCAA rule allowing schools to pay athletes up to $2,000 more per year? Great for the big programs, since it will help in recruiting, but an extra challenge for the little guys.

The Sun Belt Conference chief executive officers and athletic directors have unanimously agreed to embrace the NCAA Board of Directors' actions regarding cost of attendance and the awarding of multiyear scholarships.

The institutional administrators agreed that each university will determine how cost of attendance and multiyear scholarships will be administered on each campus.
