Georgetown Vs. UConn Score: Kemba Walker And Connecticut Snap Hoyas Winning Streak

The Georgetown Hoyas had an eight-game winning streak going, but then Kemba Walker happened. The Connecticut Huskies star banged out 31 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds to lead UConn to a 78-70 victory over their Big East rivals.

The game was close throughout, but the Huskies pulled away late. Four Hoyas scored in double figures, led by Chris Wright’s 19, which included five threes. Austin Freeman scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds, but did not have his best shooting night, hitting only four of his 13 atttempts.

Jamal Coombs-McDaniel also scored 23 for the Huskies, and Alex Oriakhi added 10 points and eight rebounds.

The 20-5 Huskies are now 10-4 in the Big East and get the Louisville Cardinals next. Georgetown falls to 20-6 and 9-5, hoping to get a new streak going against the South Florida Bulls.
