Marquette Vs. UConn Final Score: Overtime Upset Could Send Golden Eagles To Tourney

It took an extra frame to do it, but the Marquette Golden Eagles scored a huge 74-67 road win over the Connecticut Huskies. Kemba Walker got around to blowing up for 27 points, and Alex Oriakhi contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds, but the Golden Eagles were too much in overtime.

Darius Johnson-Odom led Marquette in scoring despite missing all seven of his three-point attempts, as Jae Crowder added 11 boards and seven points. In addition to forcing 18 misses from the floor by Walker, Marquette’s D managed to take the ball away 17 times.

Now above .500 in the Big East, Marquette finishes with Providence, Cincinnati, and Seton Hall, while UConn has some work to do against Cincy, West Virginia, and Notre Dame after dropping two straight games yet again.
