The Big 12 Basketball Tournament heads into its second day of play as the remaining four teams hit the court in the semifinal portion of the bracket. On Thursday, Colorado pulled the only upset of the day, knocking off Kansas State in the second game of the day, 87-75. There were some close scares, however, including one involving a potential No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Kansas Jayhawks survived a surprisingly tough test from Oklahoma State in the first game of the day on Thursday, starting the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals off with a bang. Kansas squeaked out a one-point win, 63-32. Texas and Missouri were the other winners in the late-game action.
On Friday, the remaining four hit the court with a shot at moving one step closer to the Big 12's automatic NCAA Tournament bid. Kansas and Colorado get it started at 7 p.m., followed by an in-state grudge match between Texas and Texas A&M.
