VIDEO: Charles Barkley Vs. Billy Packer—Who Ya Got?

Charles Barkley had some fun with Billy Packer's criticisms of the new NCAA Tournament's new broadcast plan on Thursday night, telling the former CBS anchor to "stop being a jackass."

You can see the video here:

The headline's rhetorical, of course. Who would ever side with Billy Packer in anything?

And I'm telling you, this is why Inside the NBA is the greatest sports show on television. You just never know when Charles Barkley is going to jump in and say, "Okay, I want to take this time to have a little rant..." That's why he's the best. More highlights after the jump.

You can find the full transcript over at Sports Grid, and I have three favorite parts here. First of all, Barkley can barely keep a straight face throughout this whole monologue, probably because he's directly disobeying orders from Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith and any number of Turner Sports production people. Clearly, Chuck just felt like screwin' around.

Second, when he says "I don’t let people say stuff to me and get away with it", it's not quite a direct quote of Chappelle's Show, but it's close enough for me to love him for it. Finally, did he just admit that he and Kenny don't know much about college hoops? He did:

We might not be very good and know all the players and all the teams in college basketball. ... You’re absolutely right.

"We might not be very good ... You’re absolutely right." Somehow, I'm pretty sure this makes Barkley my favorite college basketball announcer of all time.
