The Patriot League Tournament ultimately ended as expected. No. 1 seed Bucknell, who rolled with just one loss in league play in the regular season, ultimately won the title, defeating No. 6 seed Lafayette, 72-57, to win the league title and punch its bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Bucknell never really pulled away until late in the game, spurring thoughts that Lafayette could pull off yet another shocker. In the end, though, Bucknell scored 25 of the game's final 40 points to account for the final margin. Mike Muscala led the way with 18 points for the Bison in the win.
Lafayette got to this point by shocking No. 2 seed American in double overtime on a buzzer-beating shot, but ultimately, it'll be Bucknell dancing next week.
