Southwest Region

First Four
VCU over USC, though this game will be a close, physical one.

Second Round
No. 1 Kansas over No. 16 Boston University, as the Terriers would only have a chance if the Jayhawks' had a fledgling hockey program.
No. 8 UNLV over No. 9 Illinois, as Lon Kruger's team defeats that of his former employer
No. 12 Richmond over No. 5 Vanderbilt, since the Spiders' versatility will match up well with the Commodores.
No. 4 Louisville over No. 13 Morehead State, though Kenneth Faried's presence inside will make it interesting.
No. 11 VCU over No. 6 Georgetown, though this may change if Chris Wright really is 100 percent for the Hoyas.
No. 3 Purdue over No. 14 St. Peter's, depriving America of another opportunity to hear about the "Saint Peter's Peacocks."
No. 7 Texas A&M over No. 10 Florida State, though fans of offense will want to turn away.
No. 2 Notre Dame over No. 15 Akron, meaning it will soon be time to focus on soccer for Zips' fans.

Third Round
No. 1 Kansas over No. 8 UNLV, as the Jayhawks win the Second Round game we didn't get to see last season, thanks to Northern Iowa.
No. 4 Louisville over No. 12 Richmond, since the Cardinals aren't a great matchup for the Spiders.
No. 3 Purdue over No. 11 VCU, meaning the Boilermakers won't lose twice in the same year to two teams from the capital of Virginia.
No. 2 Notre Dame over No. 7 Texas A&M, as the Irish will have too much offense for the Aggies.

Regional Semifinals
No. 1 Kansas over No. 4 Louisville, as the Cardinals' lack of depth will catch up with them.
No. 3 Purdue over No. 2 Notre Dame, Big Ten Player of the Year JaJuan Johnson trumps Big East Player of the Year Ben Hansbrough.

Regional Final
No. 1 Kansas over No. 3 Purdue, though this result might very well be different if Robbie Hummel hadn't torn his ACL during the preseason.
