Even after Morehead State sprang to an early 15-2 lead over Louisville, I was confident that the Cardinals were going to compensate, and not just because they were "supposed to be better." They simply tend to play comically bad stretches of basketball and allow themselves to sink into holes before bouncing back. It's happened many times this season. Apparently, though, the Morehead State Eagles weren't interested in serving as the Frank Grimes to the Cardinals' Homer Simpson. Watch as Demonte Harper makes the Eagles the 23rd-ever 13-seed to upset a 4-seed.↵↵
And that was how Morehead State beat its in-state rival and won its second tournament game since the format expanded to 64 teams. Now we wait and see whether another 4-seed, Kentucky, loses to Princeton. If they do, the city of Louisville will cease all export of bourbon, as we will be dumping all of our barrels into a giant ditch and just sort of wallowing around in until it's nice outside and it's time to scream at horses again.
