College Basketball Tournament Gifts: Line Up For Your Sun Belt Stationery Set

College basketball's postseason is superior in format to those of all other major leagues, and not just because there are at least two different college basketball postseason periods that we know of. As the latest piece of evidence: Sports Business Daily's list of gifts given to participants in various basketball tournaments.

While football bowl games give out by-the-numbers gift packages that seem to unilaterally include one (1) pair of sunglasses and one (1) gift card, hoops tourneys are a total grab bag. You never know what you'll grab in your bag!

Star-divide

My favorites are the ones that make a little too much sense: the PAC-10 gives away a "backpack filled with snacks," if you know what they mean, while the Big Ten offers cold-weather clothing so student-athletes can survive until next year's Big Ten Tournament.

The Big West only offers a T-shirt, which is presumably just like the Versace shirt Iggy Pop wore to tatters while being interviewed for that one magazine article -- no, I can't find it. Cool story bro. At least the MAAC offers a drawstring bag for easy T-shirt transportation, though every year more than one player is disappointed to learn he won't receive a MAAC Mac. That's probably the best joke in here, and it's a really bad joke.

By giving away $300 electronics, the ACC technically wins, but don't sleep on that MEAC giveaway. How awesome must it be if they're not even going to tell you what it is?
