South Florida's mini-Cinderalla run through the 2011 Big East Tournament ended abruptly, with Cincinnati taking down upstart USF, 87-61. After scoring one of the biggest comebacks in conference tournament history, the Bulls never looked like a threat in this one.
Cincy will take on Notre Dame Thursday at 7 pm EST. The Bearcats dropped their only regular-season meeting with the Irish, 66-58 in South Bend. The winner of that game will get the winner of Pitt-UConn.
The Bearcats have now won five of their last six, with three of those wins coming against ranked teams. Might they be heating up at the right time, or might they just be the team that got to play USF in the second round?
For more on this game, Bearcats fans should visit Down The Drive, and USF fans should join Voodoo Five -- It rhymes! -- and the all-new SB Nation Tampa Bay.
