Washington Basketball Coach Lorenzo Romar On Venoy Overton: 'Crushed, Disappointed'

Washington Huskies basketball coach Lorenzo Romar was not pleased to see recently departed former player Venoy Overton arrested for what amounts to a pimping investigation. This sentence made you say DUHHH.

Here's coach Romar to Seattle's KJR on Overton, as transcribed by our pals at Sports Radio Interviews:

Oh just crushed, disappointed. You know you go through battles that those who play for you and come through your program. And here at the University of Washington we've been able to win a lot of those battles together. And this one here was just very disappointing. You'd like to think everyone is going to reach their potential in all aspects, but every once in awhile it doesn't work that way.

Romar was also asked whether he thinks there's anything he could've done differently during his time as an authority figure over Overton. He says if he'd known then what he knows now, Overton wouldn't have been handled quite the same way by the program.
