As the Oklahoma Sooners announced the completion of a media rights deal that would seal the Big 12's borders against outgoing traffic for six years, the Missouri Tigers announced that the six-year deal was still in the works. Like, literally at the exact same time. OU president David Boren and Mizzou chancellor Brady Deaton were at simultaneous press conferences when they revealed the conference's latest discord.
And it goes even deeper than just a confusion between two schools:
