Iowa got pasted by Michigan State on Tuesday night, losing 95-61 on the road. But hey, that happens: the Spartans are ranked No. 6 in the country and have now won 17 straight against the Hawkeyes at the Breslin Center.
But what doesn't always happen is a head coach channeling his inner Bobby Knight, spiking a chair in frustration on the court. That's what Fran McCaffery did -- and mind you, this came after he was already whistled for a technical for screaming at the refs. The video, and a close-up of the damage he left behind, is below.
You'll see McCaffery get his technical at the start of the video, but the chair slamming doesn't occur until around the 1:10 mark:
Adam Ruff, a Michigan State radio broadcaster, took a pic of the damage after the game:
Fran McCaffery's chair slam left a 4 inch green streak. No dent. Speaking of streaks, MSU has won 15 straight lockerz.com/s/173440676
