At the end of the clip

were the teams praying? Was that in lieu of or in addition to the handshake?

It appears...

they were about to pray, after having gone through the handshake line. Quite common after football games. Hopefully they prayed for the KU players, and protection in their next practice.

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone."
