The Duke Blue Devils trailed the Virginia Cavaliers at halftime 32-28, but were able to battle back in the second half and snap the Cavs 12-game winning streak. Duke was able to tie the game up in the second half and break away with a small lead thanks to a Seth Curry three-point shot and a Mile Plumlee dunk. Duke was able to hold their lead through the remainder of the game, holding on for their second ACC victory of the season.
For the Blue Devils, Mason Plumlee led the way with 12 points and 7 rebounds, while his brother Miles Plumlee picked up four points off the bench. Guards Seth Curry and Austin Rivers also picked up 11 points each. The Blue Devils only shot 25 percent from the three-point line, but hit some in the second half that helped them take the lead and win the game.
In the loss, Mike Scott picked up 23 points and 9 rebounds for Virginia. Guard Joe Harris also was able to put down 14 points a 5 rebounds on the night. Virginia falls to 14-2 with the loss, snapping their winning streak.
