Murray State rallied from a nine-point deficit in the second half for a 66-60 win over Morehead State to remain undefeated on the season.

Isaiah Canaan had 20 points as the No. 12 Murray St. Racers rallied for a 66-60 win over the Morehead St. Eagles to remain one of two unbeaten teams in Division I basketball (Syracuse Orange).

The Racers trailed by six points at the half and were down nine with 13 minutes to play against their Ohio Valley Conference rivals. Canaan led all scorers, but senior guard Donte Poole, who added 15 points and five rebounds, keyed the comeback with eight points on a 10-0 run that allowed the Racers to retake the lead. Canaan and Poole combined to go seven-of-19 from the field and 18-of-21 from the free throw line.

Sophomore forward Drew Kelly led the Eagles with 20 points, on six-of-seven shooting, seven rebounds and a pair of blocked shots. Junior guard Marsell Holden, a 37 percent shooter from beyond the arc, was just one-of-six on three-point attempts on Wednesday night.

With the win, the Racers improved to 19-0 and are now 7-0 in the OVC. The Racers face Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Saturday night. Morehead State had won five of their previous eight games, but with their loss to the Racers, fell to 9-11 overall and 3-4 in conference.
