NCAA Basketball Rankings: Baylor Makes First Top Five Appearance In USA Today/ESPN Top 25

It's been a tremendous season so far for the Baylor Bears, who are off to the best start in program history at 13-0. Now BU has a new title it can claim for the first time: top five team. The Bears jumped a pair of spots up from No. 7 in this week's USA Today/ESPN Top 25 to earn the distinction.

Syracuse was once again the near-unanimous No. 1 in both polls, claiming 30 of the 31 first-place votes from the coaches. The other first place vote belonged to Kentucky, which moved up one spot from No. 3 to No. 2. Duke, North Carolina and Baylor rounded out the top five.
