Stay connected with SB Nation

The Baylor Bears defeated the Oklahoma Sooners to end a two-game losing streak.

The No. 6 Baylor Bears bounced back from its recent two-game losing streak (the first defeats of the season) by downing the Oklahoma Sooners, 77-65. Perry Jones III led the Bears with 21 points and 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.

The Sooners made the game close in the second half by cutting the Bears' lead to two points, but they were never able to get over that hump. Besides Jones' 21 points, the Bears picked up 16 points and seven assists from Pierre Jackson. Quincy Acy added 13 points and Anthony Jones had 11 points coming off the bench.

Oklahoma's Steven Pledger led the team with 17 points, but it was Romero Osby who put in 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Andrew Fitzgerald added 13 points.

The 18-2 Bears host the Texas Longhorns on Saturday.
