This was a Rock-n-Jock shot that probably should've been worth 10 points. And considering the first half NC State had as it battled in-state rival UNC, Wolfpack fans probably wished it was worth 10. Just before the half, Lorenzo Brown gathered a rebound with less than a second remaining on the clock and heaved a prayer up from about 3/4-court.
I'm not sure if he called bank, but it doesn't really matter. His shot hit glass, bounced off the front of the rim and went down, for one of the longer three-pointers you'll see.
NC State head coach Mark Gottfried was amused, telling ESPN in a quick halftime interview, "That's about the only shot we could make, one from 80-feet," as he headed to the locker room. But hey, it's a neat highlight!
