Duke vs. Temple: Blue Devils On Upset Alert, Down 35-33 At Half

No. 5 Duke is in Philadelphia to take on the Temple Owls Wednesday night.

The fifth-ranked Duke Blue Devils made the trek north to Philadelphia for this evening's non-conference clash with the Temple Owls and they find themselves in a bit of trouble, down 35-33 at halftime.

The Owls are using a balanced attack to gain the upper hand as all seven players who have seen the court have scored. Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson leads Temple with eight points while Khalif Wyatt has added seven. The team is shooting 59% from the field and beating the Blue Devils at their own game. Out-rebounding Duke 17-11 so far has also helped their cause.

Meanwhile, no one on the Blue Devils side is giving Miles Plumlee much help. He has ten points but no one else has more than six and only four players have more than two points right now. Duke isn't in too much trouble as they're shooting 44% and could maintain while they hope the Owls cool off.

Duke has doubled up Temple in the all-time series, 18-9, and the Blue Devils have won the last nine meetings, and 15 of the last 18 overall. However, that streak looks in doubt at the moment against the 9-3 Owls.
