The unranked Temple Owls added an impressive win to its NCAA Tournament resume on Wednesday night by upsetting the No. 5 Duke Blue Devils, 78-73, at Wells Fargo Center in Philadephia. This was Duke's second loss of the season, the other a road loss to the then-No. 2 Ohio St. Buckeyes.

Khalif Wyatt led the Owls with 21 points, sinking 8 of 12 shots and connecting on three of the team's five successful three-pointers. He also picked up five of the team's 10 steals. But it was solid night by everyone on Temple. The team shot 50 percent from the field while Duke sat at 43 percent.

Duke failed to receive great production from its starters. Austin Rivers led the starting five with 12 points while the rest combined for 16 points. Miles and Mason Plumlee carried the Blue Devils from off the bench with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Mason grabbed 13 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Duke (12-2) now heads into conference play on Jan. 7 with a game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Owls (10-3) recorded its first win over Duke since Jan. 25, 1996 and will now open A-10 play against the Dayton Flyers.
