Noticing an extra player on the floor should be just about the easiest call to make in basketball. Still, a trio of Sun Belt officials somehow managed to miss it as Louisiana-Lafayette scored the game-winning basket in overtime against Western Kentucky Thursday night with six players on the floor.
And it's not like this was just a split-second play. The Ragin' Cajuns had an extra man on the floor for a solid 21 seconds.
See if you can count to six:
By my count that's six Lafayette players and three soon-to-be suspended officials.
