Virginia has improved to 5-2 in the ACC with a win over Clemson on Tuesday night.
Bennett Ball might not be for everyone, but it's certainly been effective this season. The Virginia Cavaliers improved to 18-3 on the season and 5-2 in the ACC on Tuesday night with a 65-61 win over the Clemson Tigers. UVA made the most of their possessions and scored efficiently while playing their trademark style, taking just 43 shots from the field on the night.
Mike Scott had another excellent game for Virginia, putting up 23 points and 10 rebounds. UVA's second-leading scorer Joe Harris was also at his best, scoring 19 points on 7-9 shooting from the floor. The Cavaliers out-rebounded and out-shot Clemson by a significant margin, but the Tigers kept themselves in the game until the very end by only committing four turnovers on the night. Clemson got within one possession on two separate occasions in the final minute, but Scott made four clutch free throws to ice the game in that same time period.
