Feb 17, 2012 - The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have suspended junior swingman Glen Rice Jr., who currently leads the team in both scoring and rebounds.
Jeff Borzello of CBS Sports reports that Yellow Jackets head coach Brian Gregory announced the suspension following practice on Friday. Gregory would not go into specifics about the suspension, but said Rice would not be traveling to Virginia Tech this weekend, as he is suspended indefinitely.
This is the second suspension of the season for Rice. He was previously suspended for the first three games of the season for violating team rules.
Rice is currently averaging 13 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. The Yellow Jackets will miss his contributions but his suspension is unlikely to make that big of an impact on the school's season overall. Georgia Tech has lost 12 of its last 14 games and are currently 2-9 in ACC play.
