Everyone has seen Blake Griffin's dunk from earlier this week by now. Blake Griffin shattered Kendrick Perkins' soul with a dunk that many still wonder was a dunk, even if it doesn't matter. But this, friends, is how it's done. Leave it to the college kid to set the example.
Savalace Townsend basically pulled a Blake Griffin on Saturday, yet the dunk somehow slipped under the radar. He did some poor Grambling State player dirty, making for a great video.
All Townsend did was leave his man in the dust, drive into the lane, and take off from a few short steps inside the free throw line. He kind of flew around and through a poor defender trying to take a charge, then threw down a dunk similar to Griffin's. Except he both caught and hung on the rim.
The dunk is labeled as a dunk of the year candidate, and who are we to argue?
