Florida put together a great second half performance to defeat Auburn convincingly, but lost Will Yeguete to a foot injury.
The Florida Gators didn't have a terrific first half, but rallied back with a great second-half performance to seal a convincing win over the Auburn Tigers. Auburn had a strong first half and led by three points at the break, but could only manage to score 17 points in the second half as Florida eventually cruised to a 63-47 victory.
Unfortunately, that victory came at a serious cost that will affect the Gators' postseason ambitions. With just over 10 minutes remaining in the game, forward Will Yeguete had to come out of the game with a foot injury. His foot is feared broken, and if that is the case, he will miss the rest of the season.
Kenny Boynton was the Gators' star, shooting 6-9 from behind the arc in a 20-point performance. Erving Walker also had an excellent game for the Gators with 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
