No. 5 Duke Vs. No. 15 Florida State: Blue Devils Survive In Tallahassee

Duke was tested, but came out victorious on Thursday night against Florida State on the back of a great shooting performance from behind the arc.

Trips to Tallahassee have been tough recently for the Duke Blue Devils, and Austin Rivers had a bit of an injury scare. Rivers came back, however, and had an excellent game as Duke defeated the Florida State Seminoles 74-66. Florida State's defense was very solid and forced Duke into three-point shots -- often contested -- but Duke was great from behind the arc.

Rivers shot 4-8 from behind the arc, while Andre Dawkins was a lights out 6-9 from three-point land. Seth Curry missed his first three attempts from long distance, but hit a big three with just under four minutes remaining to extend Duke's lead from three to six points at the time.

With just under 12 minutes remaining in the second half, Rivers and Jeff Peterson dove for a loose ball and Rivers got his foot caught under Peterson. His ankle appeared to twist badly and he was helped off the floor by a trainer, but he returned to the game and played well in the closing minutes.

Michael Snaer led the Seminoles with 18 points while Bernard James was an efficient 6-8 from the floor, but FSU couldn't quite shoot well enough to match Duke.
