Kentucky Vs. Florida, Halftime Score: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Powers Wildcats To 38-26 Halftime Lead

The eighth-ranked Florida Gators knew they had a tough task ahead of them as they invaded Rupp Arena this evening to take on the top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats. That task looks even tougher now that they've gone into the locker room down 38-26 at the half.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Doron Lamb are powering the Wildcats so far with ten points apiece while Kidd-Gilchrist almost has himself a double-double already thanks to nine rebounds. Anthony Davis has six for Kentucky as well.

Bradley Beal leads the Gators with eight points while Patric Young is the only other Gator with more than five points (six).

The Gators jumped out to an early 5-0 lead but it was fleeting.

They scored a mere 11 points in the final eleven minutes and the Wildcats eventually closed the half on a 21-9 run to blow things wide open. Florida will have to come up with a solid gameplan to overcome Kidd-Gilchrist and Lamb in the second half. Easier said than done.
