In a Top 10 showdown between Big 12 rivals, the No. 7 Kansas Jayhawks have taken a 33-30 lead over the No. 6 Baylor Bears at halftime of tonight's game at The Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.
Junior center Jeff Whitney has 17 points and four rebounds for the Jayhawks, hitting on 5-of-6 attempts from the floor and going 7-of-8 from the free throw line. Tyshawn Taylor and Conner Teshan have six points apiece, while Thomas Robinson has four points and a team-high six rebounds.
For the Bears, junior guard Pierre Jackson is 3-of-7 from the field for a team-high eight points. Quincy Acy has seven points and Cory Jefferson has six points as Perry Jones III, the team's leading scorer and rebounder, has just three points on 1-of-3 shooting and one rebound.
