Michael Dixon had a game-high 21 points in leading the No. 7 Missouri Tigers to a 78-72 win over Iowa State.
The No. 7 Missouri Tigers trailed by four points at the half before rallying in the final four minutes to snap their two-game losing streak with a 78-72 win over the Iowa St. Cyclones Wednesday night.
Guard Michael Dixon came off the bench to lead the Tigers with 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting, adding five rebounds and four assists. Four other Tigers were in double digits, including forward Ricardo Ratliffe with 16 points, guard Marcus Denmon with 14 points and guard Kim English, who had 13 points to go along with his team-high eight rebounds.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 26-4 overall and 13-4 in the Big 12. Missouri was coming off back-to-back losses to the Kansas State Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks, ending a run of seven straight wins and 11 of 12. The Tigers will close out their regular season against the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Lubbock on Saturday afternoon.
Forward Royce White led the Cyclones with 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting, while guard Scott Christopherson had 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting. Forward Melvin Ejim added 10 points and a team-high 13 rebounds. With the loss, the Cyclones are now 21-9 overall and 11-6 in the Big 12. They close out their regular season schedule with a visit from the No. 10 Baylor Bears Saturday night.
