Only four teams remain in the 2012 Atlantic 10 Tournament. The Saint Louis Billikens and the Xavier Musketeers will tip off in the second semifinal of the day in Atlantic City. The winner will go on to the conference championship game Sunday, where they will face the winner of UMass-St. Bonaventure for an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Musketeers almost went the way of the top-seed Temple Owls, finding themselves down six points to the Dayton with just over three minutes to go in Friday's quarterfinal. Mark Lyons scored Xavier's final seven points, on the way to a 70-69 win to advance.
The Billikens had no trouble on Friday, keeping the La Salle Explorers at arms length after building an early lead. Mike McCall Jr. led the way for the Billikens, with 16 points and four rebounds in the 78-71 win.
