The final conference tournament championship of 2012 gets underway on Sunday as Michigan State and Ohio State battle for the Big Ten title. Both teams were part of a three-way split of the Big Ten regular season championship, and each comes into the matchup with perhaps a shot at a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Michigan State cruised to the tournament finals with two double-digit wins. In the quarterfinals, the Spartans hung 92 points on Iowa in a 17-point win. They followed that up with a 13-point win over Wisconsin, handling the Badgers' ugly-it-up style with ease.
If Saturday was any indication, Ohio State is barreling towards the NCAA Tournament with a full head of steam following its 22-point win over Michigan in the Big Ten semifinals. The semifinal win followed an easy 17-point victory over Purdue in the quarterfinals, perhaps a sign of things to come on Sunday.
The Big Ten Tournament Championship is a rematch of each team's final regular season game, which Ohio State won to prevent the Spartans from winning the conference title outright.
Here's the information for Sunday's matchup. The latest Big Ten Tournament bracket can be found here.
