Missouri Valley Tournament 2012 Bracket Update: Drake, Indiana State Advance

In the first games of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament, the Drake Bulldogs and the Indiana St. Sycamores beat up on the lower-seeded Bradley Braves and Southern Illinois Salukis, respectively, and advanced to the second round to take on two of the top seeds in one of the deepest conferences in the country. The Bulldogs, the No. 7 seed, will play the Creighton Blue Jays, and the Sycamores will play the top seed, the Wichita St. Shockers.

Friday's slate of games include all eight of the remaining participants -- the other two games are the No. 4-seed Illinois St. Redbirds against the No. 5-seed Northern Iowa Panthers and the No. 3-seed Evansville Aces against the No. 6-seed Missouri St Bears.

The Shockers and the Sycamores kick off the games at 1:05 p.m. ET, followed directly by the 4-5 matchup. The Blue Jays and Bulldogs play in the evening at 7:05 p.m. before the final game of the night between Evansville and Missouri State.
