MVC Basketball Tournament 2012, Illinois State Vs. Northern Iowa: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

The 2012 Missouri Valley Basketball Tournament will hold its quarterfinal matchups on Friday. The opening round on Thursday saw the Drake Bulldogs and Indiana St. Sycamores advance, while the Southern Illinois Salukis and the Bradley Braves went home early.

On Friday, two of the teams receiving first-round byes will face off against one another. The fourth-seeded Illinois St. Redbirds will face the No. 5 seed, the Northern Iowa Panthers. This game figures to be a close one, as the two teams feature nearly identical regular-season records. Illinois State was 18-9 in the regular season, while Northern Iowa was 19-12. Both teams managed a 9-9 record in MVC conference play this season.
