CAA Tournament 2012, Northeastern Vs. William & Mary Final Score: Huskies Edge Tribe, 57-49

Despite going 4-14 in conference play and 6-25 overall, the 10th-seeded William & Mary Tribe gave the seventh-seeded Northeastern Huskies (13-16, 9-9) all they could handle in the first round of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament, but the Huskies prevailed, 57-49. It was the first time that the Huskies had ever beaten the Tribe in Virginia (the tournament's being held in Richmond), and they'll play the VCU Rams on Saturday.

After leading just 26-22 after halftime, the Huskies jumped out to a 12-point advantage early in the second half with four quick three-pointers, but the Tribe battled back, bringing it to within three with a little more than six minutes to go. They never got it closer, however, and the Huskies managed to avoid the upset.

Quincy Ford led all scorers with 18 for the Huskies, including three three-pointers right after halftime to extend their lead. Tim Rusthoven led the Tribe with 12 points and seven rebounds in the losing effort.
