The Georgia St. Panthers are taking it to the Hofstra Pride in the last game of the first round of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament, leading 45-24 and dominating every facet of the game. If the Panthers, the tournament's No. 6 seed, manage to not blow this lead, they'll play third-seeded George Mason Saturday night.
Eric Buckner had what can only be described as a perfect first half for the Panthers. He scored 14 points, pulled down eight rebounds, shot 4-4 from the field, 6-6 from the foul line with two blocks and no turnovers. The Pride have had no answers for the 6-foot-7 senior forward. Guard Devonta White has chipped in 11 as well for Georgia State.
The Pride were led in scoring by guard Mike Moore with nine points, but he's shot just 2-7 from the field as his teammates have missed five shots combined. As a team, the Pride have two assists, nine turnovers and six rebounds, which should tell you all you need to know about how they've performed.
