This is one of the better shots you'll see tonight. It wasn't a buzzer beater and it didn't come at a critical point in the game, but Loyola Marymount's C.J. Blackwell pulled off something more akin to a trick shot than what one would see during live action.
Blackwell was falling down and anticipating contact at the time, and seemed to throw the ball up at the rim like a player would in an attempt to make a foul a shooting foul. He was falling over and facing the wrong way, taking a shot that was more desperation than anything else.
Of course it went in. We wouldn't be posting a GIF if it bounced off the rim harmlessly.
This is where he should get up with that "totally meant to do that" swagger. Just play it off like it was all part of the plan.
