The Washington Huskies are continuing to attempt to make the case that they were snubbed from the NCAA Tournament. They won again in the NIT on Tuesday night, progressing to the semifinals of the tournament with a 90-86 victory over their Pac-12 rivals, the Oregon Ducks.
The game was close throughout, but Washington began to take control in the middle of the second half and led by as many as nine points. Oregon came back within two points with 47 seconds remaining, but C.J. Wilcox shot 6-6 from the free throw line in the final minute to ice the game.
Wilcox was Washington's third leading scorer with 17 points off the bench. Terrence Ross led all scorers with 24 points, Tony Wroten chipped in 22 and Abdul Gaddy recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists.
