ALBUQUERQUE, NM - MARCH 17: Jordan Taylor #11, Ben Brust #1 and Ryan Evans #5 of the Wisconsin Badgers celebrate in the second half of the game against the Vanderbilt Commodores during the third round of the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at The Pit on March 17, 2012 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Wisconsin doesn't have the talent of Syracuse, but with Fab Melo gone, they're a terrible matchup for the Orange. This game will not make sense to people unfamiliar with Bo Ryan and Jim Boeheim.
Before Fab Melo was suspended by the Syracuse Orange, they were expected to plow though the Wisconsin Badgers or one of the other teams from their section of the bracket at this stage of the NCAA Tournament. With Melo out, this game has the potential to be very interesting. Jim Boeheim's 2-3 zone isn't likely to frustrate a team that spends a lot of possessions running out the clock and settling for outside shots anyway, and UW is tough on the glass.
Several times during this game, you will wonder why Syracuse is playing zone and Wisconsin is playing man. You will insist that it should be the other way around. You will be entirely correct.
Game Date/Time: Thursday, March 22, 7:15 p.m. ET
Venue: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts
TV: CBS
