The North Carolina Duke rivalry gets set to tip off again on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET, this time in Cameron Indoor as the Blue Devils hope to sweep the Tar Heels in the regular season after beating them earlier in the year on the road. In the first match up, freshman Austin Rivers engulfed himself in the rivalry by hitting a buzzer beating three-point shot to send the Blue Devils over the top. Since that win, Duke has gone on to win six games in a row and is on a seven-game winning streak. "They're going to be ready to play because of what happened last time." Rivers told the Associated Press. "But so are we."
The Tar Heels will be ready, entering the match up with a six-game winning streak of their own and gunning for the ACC regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the ACC tournament. This will be the twelth time since 1980 that the two teams will meet with some form of an ACC title on the line. If the Tar Heels want to win the rematch and avoid the regular season sweep, they'll have to do a much better job of guarding Rivers than they did last time allowing Rivers to hit on six of his ten three-point shots, including the game winner.
